Hi, we're James and Dorothy Thompson. With 48 years of experience in jewelry craftsmanship, it's time for us to retire. James came home from Vietnam in 1976. His hands wouldn't stop shaking, so he started making jewelry — small pieces, one at a time. I chose the stones. Three colors. Always the same three. Red, white, blue.

We opened James & Dorothy Jewelers in Springfield, Virginia in 1978. James crafts every piece by hand using the same techniques he learned back then. I select every stone with the same care I did on our first day.

Over the years, we've had the privilege of creating jewelry for military families across Virginia — from Norfolk to Quantico to the Pentagon. Each piece carries the same commitment to quality and meaning that has defined our work for nearly five decades.

Now, as America turns 250 years old in 2026, we're closing this chapter with a Final Closing Sale.
